This book was HOT from the beginning to the end! Mel Blue does such a fantastic job of getting a lot of detail in a short story!
This book was about letting walls down and finally letting someone in. Luke and Seraphina both have walls they've put up to protect themselves because of their past. Neither of them is willing to let the other one in, but they have this attraction that keeps pulling them to each other, willing them to finally give in to their desires.
Seraphina tries to disguise herself (so she thinks) and has a heated night of unbridled passion with Luke, thinking it would be just one night. Luke, however, has other plans. He knew from the being it was Seraphina coming to his room, and he isn't done with her. Will Luke be able to get Seraphina back into his bed, and maybe have her in his day to day life as well? Or will she continue to pretend that the night they shared never happened?
You go on this fantastic journey with Seraphina and Luke on how they are finally able to find someone that they can let down the walls and be their selves with. This was a beautiful story, with A LOT of hot steamy scenes. Like I said earlier, Mel gets so much detail into this short story, you're kind of sad that it ends because you are so attached to the characters. I'll be looking forward to more fantastic stories from Mel Blue!

Ready or not, the doors are open...

I was absolutely fascinated by the premise of this book, the series. What better way to get into the thick of the complexities of relationships by providing a path to exploring one’s wicked desires? Forbidden Rendezvous, the introduction to this sizzling series, sets the tone well and gives the reader an enticing look into the methods and the madness of trust and love filled with the intricate exploration with the human condition and terms of the heart. It is an intriguing tale of the art of letting go, expertly told by the fabulous Melissa Blue. On its surface it is a scintillating story of sensual freedom and satisfying curiosities, yet underneath that surface you find a story of redemption and healing for Seraphina, the strictly professional personal assistant of the owner of the Hotel Beaudelaire, and Luke, the affable Winery CEO.
I loved that the reader is introduced to Seraphina in such a strong manner; from the start, she comes off as a well put together woman. She’s efficient, thorough, and strong about where she stands. She is the epitome of a strong woman, despite the haunting past she’s run away from, and when she finally decides to put everything on the line, she’s determined to make her dreams of intimacy, true intimacy a reality. Conversely, Luke, who holds everyone just out of arms reach, finally allows someone to get close enough to him to force him to open himself up. Both suffer the pains of their past and are connected by those pain. Pain recognized pain and for Luke and Seraphina, it is the fuel that accelerates an insatiable fire.
Forbidden Rendezvous is full of heart, conflict, and most of all, heart stopping sensuality. It’s perfectly crafted to incite an inferno while speaking to your heart. Melissa Blue crafts her characters perfectly imperfect and makes it so very easy to root for that well deserved happily ever after.
Definitely recommend this sizzling beginning to the world and loves of the patrons of the Den of Sin!

The red floor. Voyeurism. Seraphina steps out onto the red carpet in the first novella of the Den Of Sin series. Although we don't find out why until the end, Seraphina lost everything three years ago and runs her life and The Beaudelaire with an iron fist of control. Luke is the only thing that threatens her control and fortunately for her, she only has to deal with him once a year; unfortunately for her, it is the Den of Sin weekend during which the hotel insures that its guests are able to fulfill their sexual fantasies. When the woman chosen by Luke gets sick and a substitution must be found, Seraphina risks it all, dons a mask, and proceeds to fulfill both her and Luke's fantasies and...IT. IS. HOT! Because this is a novella you don't get a lot of story but you get enough to connect with the characters, to experience the sexual tension between the two, and enjoy some seriously hot sex scenes. Well done Ms. Blue, I cannot wait to see what you can do in a full-length novel.
