She designs and coordinates research units at the University of Sydney (Business School and Graduate School of Government) and the Australia and New Zealand School of Government. Zina also has an extensive history as a consultant and research coordinator for the Centre for Environmental Health Development at the World Health Organisation Collaborating Centre. Must have for thesis writing

This book is biggest reason I got through writing my graduate-level thesis. If you're enrolling in a Master's or PhD program, I'd highly recommend it. The thing they don't tell you when signing up for post-graduate education is that no one walks you through what a good or bad thesis topic/process is. You kind of have to figure it out for yourself. This is how I figured it out.
Highest compliment I can give it is that I didn't sell it back to the bookstore after graduating, even though I have no conceivable need for it in the future.

My husband is doing his masters thesis and has had up until now little major research project experience. This book has been of huge help in giving him a variety of different directions and methods and is a wonderful adjunct text to assist with planning a research project from start to finish.

Excellent well-written, engaging, wise book. We use it for teaching undergraduate research and they like it. Provides a sound overview of many philosophies, types, and methods of research as well as sage advice for researchers.
